Bushfire Festival 2025 “The Ancestor of the Portal” 

This sculpture embodies an ancestral spirit, a guardian of ancient wisdom and the sacred bond between humanity and nature. Crafted from natural materials primarily wood, a symbol of living memory and reverence for life it reflects MTN Bushfire’s commitment to sustainability and conscious creation. This spirit embodies Bushfire’s call to “Bring Your Fire”, awakening responsibility, creativity, and compassion within us. It reminds us that we are guardians of earth, water, and memory, and calls us to live in sustainable, conscious, and just ways.

The creation of this work at MTN Bushfire 2025 is the result of a collective process that unites art, tradition, and sustainability. This process became an exercise in cultural exchange and shared learning with local artisans and collaborators. The production reaffirms 4K's vision: to transform art into a bridge between cultures, a contemporary ritual, and an immersive experience that invites us to dream, reflect, and awaken our own passion.
